At The Shelter MK, we’re here to help people experiencing homelessness in Milton Keynes close one chapter, take stock and write a future they can call their own.
Whether you’d like to make a donation, raise money for us, offer services free of charge, or partner with us – your support makes a world of difference.
Since we opened our doors in 2018, we’ve been able to flourish as a charity thanks to the kind support of local branches of major corporations and their charity foundations.
We love working with organisations as their Charity of the Year, and some businesses raise money through collections and fundraising.
You can make a corporate donation via our website. Or visit our fundraising page for ideas. if you’d like to speak to us about social media content, get in touch with us at [email protected]
Our partnership with local food charities, such as the MK Food Bank, Community Larder and Community Fridge gives our guests, and former guests, access to free or affordable staple items.
if you’d like to speak to us about donating food or hot meals, get in touch with us at [email protected]

There are many Milton Keynes’ businesses and organisations whose support has had an enormous impact on our ability to run as a charity. We like to think we have had an impact on them too.
From tools and venues to promote our charity to clothes and shoes, clean windows, fire safety assessments and recycled laptops and bikes to help our guests apply for and get to work – we can’t thank everyone who helps us enough for all they do.
We also have partners who offer our guests opportunities to work for them – or develop a new career – and we would love to talk to any other businesses who might give someone a chance.
If you’d like to speak to us about partnering with The Shelter MK, or donating time and skills, get in touch with us at [email protected]
We have partners who give toiletries for our guests..We give every person a Fresh Start Pack, so they have what they need when they step into their pod. After sleeping on the streets, being clean and feeling fresh seems like a luxury.
Local businesses in Milton Keynes have also donated furniture, Christmas trees, garden planters and cleaning essentials – and so much more.
